Rising temperatures are fueling environmental crises, natural disasters, food and water insecurity, economic disruption, and increases in respiratory and infectious diseases. Assistant Prof. Kelsea Best’s research is focused on climate change, specifically how it interacts with human societies and infrastructure, how people may adapt to climate change effects, and how climate adaptation measures can be designed and implemented in a just and equitable way.
