Youngkin has handled policies on the Black agenda in Virginia and discuss the modern Republican party and race.

As everyone can plainly see, this isn’t the Republican party of Lincoln, Reagan or George W. Bush. Members of the modern Republican Party are openly discussing dismantling democracy, courting authoritarianism and extinguishing the Department of Justice.

Gov. Youngkin was elected in 2021 after defeating Terry McAuliffe by 63,000 votes. Youngkin leaned heavily on issues such as “critical race theory,” and won the support of non-college educated white women. Though the was a political novice in 2023, with the legal problems around Donald Trump, there is talk of Youngkin running for President.
