Don Scott was arrested in 1994 for a non-violent drug offense. In this episode we discuss his reaction to today’s breaking news, including how his mother reacted and what being pardon means to him. This exclusive interview was recorded on the morning on January 19, 2025, the day before Martin Luther King’s Birthday and the inauguration of Donald Trump.

Speaker Scott’s pardon request was formally made by Congressman Bobby Scott (no known relation to Don Scott). Rep. Scott made two other requests as well that were granted by President Biden. The other two are Kemba Smith of Richmond and Michelle West.
