Melisa Rollins joins BrainStoke just off her Leadville 100 win! Melisa talks about her roots with swimming, soccer and how biking wasn’t her “thing” as a teen but part of her family’s DNA as they revered the famed, Leadville 100 mountain bike race.
Melisa has the “all-in” gene. An obsessive mindset. An attitude of “go-BIG” in whatever is important to her. That was school, studying and becoming a chemist in her early college years until she realized that something was missing in her life. Physical exertion, competing and pushing her limits. 
That desire took her full circle. A close relationship with her Mother (a highly accomplished cyclist herself) and a new interest in cycling, her eye quickly focused in on the Big-Buckle prize of Leadville. Melisa began devoting herself in a transformative effort that fed her obsession with training, racing and a dream of winning the very race that was hallowed in her childhood home.
