Wining About Herstory

Ep72. Tiger Dom & The Teen Who Became a National Symbol

Listen Later

Biblical angels, tiger orgasms, and Belgian referees are just a few of the things the ladies are covering in this week's episode! First, Kelley tells the tale of tiger trainer extraordinaire Mabel Stark (no relation to the Winterfell Starks or Tony Starks) who was  a pioneer in training and working with (and getting mauled by) big cats! Then, Emily revisits one of her favorite herstorians, Kathryn Atwood who wrote Women Heroes of World War I as part of her Women of Action series! Emily covers Emilienne Moreau, a teenage girl who suddenly found herself living on the Western Front of WWI and did all she could to aid the Allies, becoming a national hero. Grab your semen proof suit and nasty bread substitute, because it's time to wine about herstory!
