A death omen, in its simplest form, is a supernatural sign that somebody is not going to be on this earth much longer. In Wales, one of the more popular death omens is the corpse candle (y canwyll corff), a light which, much like the will-o’-the-wisp, floats in the darkness and glows a blue light.
