Horror films have probably never been as popular at any point in the history of cinema as they are right now as the options to find them have increased massively. We've all heard or seen stories over the years that people will swear happened to them or a friend of a friend which on face value seem strange and often weird but if we dig a little deeper, the facts become blurry.

It seems it doesn't matter where you live in the world, you will have all heard an urban legend dressed up as a real incident, be it a spider living in your hair, to swallowing seeds means plants grow in your stomach to even murderers hiding in the wardrobe.

It's a warm welcome back to cryptozoologist Katy Elizabeth as we discuss her latest year of research up on lake Champlain and the echolocation recording caught last year. 

A frustrating year of interruptions and technical issues all fell away after Katy captured something remarkable in September 2024 and the analysis of the sound recordings seems to show a previously unkown type of vocalisation. 

Katy also discusses her plans to visit both Loch Ness and Loch Morar later this year on the hunt for their famous water based residents.

We expend vast resources for this. Strangely, this does not seem strange. We look to several sources for understanding our past, which gives us clues about solving today’s problems, and the supernatural because it also is associated with our creation. Today supernatural communication, such as UAP, has increased so dramatically that even the US government has noticed and others discuss religious figures as ancient astronauts.

The true story of the “Foo Fighters” goes back much earlier than 1944, involving RAF aircrew operating over Germany and Italy. The nicknames for what they encountered were different, but the phenomenon they witnessed was almost certainly the same.

Mysterious lights, rockets and jets were reported on a regular basis, and many of these events are listed in the official records. These cases, plus others which may not have been reported to the military authorities at the time, are examined in this book.

Discussing this phenomena is author and reseacher Graeme Rendall who has investigated this mysterious period in strange history in his book which can be found here:

Richard Freeman returns to the show on this episode as we discuss the recent Centre for Fortean Zoology expedition to Tajikistan on the search for one of the Euroasian mystery cats.

The Caspian Tiger's range used to encompass the land from Turkey in the west all the way across southern Asia to the western borders of China, but was sadly declared extinct in 2003.

Yet, witnesses claim to have both seen and had encounters with this lost big cat and Richard and his colleagues headed out for the third time to the northern parts of Tajikistan to look for evidence of this beautiful creature's survival against the odds.
