In this episode, Jeremy gets a little personal and shares some RAW thoughts on the past 3 years of Paper Jacket. We basically started 3 years ago (June 2016) as just John and Jeremy - conquering the world! But...as moist business owners will tell you, the romance of being an entrepreneur can ware off or die down. Life gets REALLY busy.
Jeremy shares what we have learned as a business and in our personal lives what growing a brand or business is all about. If you are a new business - especially within your first 3 years - you HAVE TO listen to this. The earlier you get some perspective, the better.
Biggest take -away from this: "Don't grow a job...grow a business."
In case you missed the F8 keynote from Facebook - or even if you did catch it - this is a good listen to hear our insights about the recent changes to Facebook and Instagram and what strategies you should look into changing in your business.
Want to know better ways to make content and promote content? Here are some ideas and tips to help you make content that your audience wants, because the last thing you want for your brand is to make your audience feel like you only waste their time with your content.
In this episode, Jeremy discusses two big things:
1) How the SEO game is the exact same strategy - just a different formula.
2) How you can never grow your business without BOTH a marketing and sales team.
In the beginning, Jeremy gives a practical understanding of how marketing results are broken up into two strategies. From there, he shares why you should not expect the same results from marketing as you do sales - or visa versa. Jeremy also breaks down a practical analogy of how your marketing and sales team are like a football team. Listen to find out what he means by that.
In this epiphany toilet episode, Jeremy talks about the differences between Tenacity and the difference between Talent.
The reality is that you need both, but more often than not, some rely too heavily one side or the other.
This is a great episode for anyone stepping into the workplace for the first time, starting a businesses, or trying to figure out who to hire.
And as always, share your thoughts and share this podcast to get other opinions as well.
In this epiphany toilet episode, Jeremy shares his thoughts on the recent Payless commercial and social experiment. Let's just say it wasn't very positive.
Not because we're dogging their commercial. We're dogging their brand. Their brand that says "we give you a cheap experience for the 'quality' of our shoe."
Take a listen, share some thoughts. But whatever you do, make sure you share it with others to get their thoughts as well.
In this Epiphany Toilet episode, Jeremy discusses the differences between "Return-on-investment" and "Return-on-transaction." So many times, we just want the quick win and that the only way we measure it. Sometimes it takes longer, so you need shorter gains. Many times, this becomes a comparison between Branding and Selling. You always need to sell, but if you sell from your branding strategy, the long win usually works out much better than the short one.
You need to consider the smaller steps to growing your value more than your transactions. This is usually an investment - not a quick gamble.
