By true definition Alexx is a coach, creating change one family at a time. In this episode we explore her traumatic symptoms experienced with mould illness and how she learnt to retrain her nervous system to deal with the PTSD of this health crisis.
I met Alexx Stuart at Jo Whitton’s cooking retreat in the northern tablelands 5 years ago, Alexx was presenting as a guest speaker and her subsequent guidance has been catalytic on my healing road for my awareness of the planet, my awareness of what I'm putting on my body, how a lot of the ingredients in beauty and laundry products affect our entire hormonal system.
Alexx is the best selling author of an incredible book The Low Tox Life which is a super handy resource to keep in your home and a beautiful gift. She has a top rated Australian Health podcast Low Tox Life with more than 2million downloads.
Alex’s online programs speak to how to slowly make changes in your home, she makes recommendations on alternative brands you can slowly swap out, one room at a time.
Alexx shares how her healing journey came in a series of waves, her chronic tonsilitis became antibiotic resistant – then she discovered a naturopath who enabled her health to transform in 3 days through dietary changes and herbal support. Part of the education was becoming aware that you should avoid the items in the middle of the supermarket and stick to the edges of fresh produce where possible.
She queries how can we possible heal without a team of practitioners looking at it through varied angles, versus the narrow lense. Her healing was literally a case of giving the body what it needed to heal and instead of killing the invaders and removing the symptoms only for the invaders to come back when they're strong again.
At 28 years old Alexx after not having her menstrual cycle for a few years, she was told by the GP that she had potential early onset menopause and PCOS.
