Our host and producer Ana Spasojevic from the University of Ottawa speaks with Dr. Milica Radisic, a Professor at the University of Toronto’s Institute of Biomaterials and Biomedical Engineering. Dr. Radisic’s research aims to enable cardiovascular regeneration through tissue engineering and the development of novel biomaterials. In this Curiosity Capsule, Dr. Radisic discusses her pioneering work in the engineering of cardiac patches, generating beating in-vitro heart tissues from stem cells via electrical stimulation.
