Ryan Huff - Episode 10
I met Ryan through our daughters who play on the same basketball team - The Dream Team! In getting to know Ryan and his wife, I saw them go through a tough scenario as their older daughter was a standout soccer player who unfortunately had multiple concussions that now prevent her from playing contact sports. Instead of feeling sorry for themselves, they found the positive and supported their daughter in new and exciting activities.
The competitive drive is in the Huff blood, but what stood out to me is the unconditional love and support they provided their daughter. By doing this, she found the confidence to try something completely new and decided to join the debate team. She is now gaining valuable business skills that will help her tremendously in life. The same drive she possessed in soccer is now allowing her to be successful in a completely different activity.
We have to remember that our kid's journey is their own, and not ours. No matter what curveballs life throws at you, it is up to us as parents to love and support them through thick and thin. I hope you enjoy this episode to hear Ryan's advice and personal story.
