This episode follows a training session utilizing live training environments. The training environment consisted of a starting point of katate dori but then permitted Uke the use of all available weapons in an attempt to counter Nage's efforts. Training guidelines also kept the training to a slow pace, and deshi were asked to observe their mind - looking for signs of attachment, anxiety, fear, and resistance. In the after class discussion, a question was asked that prompted a discussion on the difference between kihon and jiyu. This is the ending of that discussion.
