It is common for concussion patients, even after recovery and being symptom-free for a while, to experience tremendous anxiety any time they even slightly bump their heads. Nazeeg Haneshian (@invisiblescar on instagram) is a former patient of mine. She fully recovered after 6 years of battling with Post Concussion Syndrome…last month she messaged me worried about a recent bump to her head. I talked her down using the premise that “We are NOT that fragile”. We decided to have a conversation so that others experiencing this constant anxiety can listen and hopefully get some relief.
