In this new episode Niklas Siemer, Product Specialist for SAP Business Technology Platform, is talking to Thom Valks, Partnership manager at Team Liquid.

Together they will make an exploration into the world of Esports. They discuss typical Esports tournaments, the game League of Legends and the partnership between Team Liquid and SAP. Team Liquid is adopting technology from SAP BTP in various use cases. Thom will guide us through these scenarios and details and explain the benefits of working with huge amounts of data in Esports.

Thom Valks is Partnerships Manager at Team Liquid. He studied Chinese Studies at the University of Leiden and after obtaining a BA and MA worked in the travel industry for six years. He always had a passion for gaming though, and when an opportunity to join Team Liquid arose, he grabbed the opportunity immediately. He has now worked at Team Liquid for the past 3 years. As Partnerships Manager, Thom is responsible for making sure Team Liquid’s sponsors (like SAP) get the most value out of the partnership.
