A People's Guide to Publishing

Episode 109: How do I plan my book, tarot deck, board game, or creative project?

Listen Later

One of the Kickstarter backers for our Gold Lyre Tarot deck is planning their own deck, and as one of the reward levels for that project, we answered a bunch of their questions about how to do it. Is it better to work with one artist or multiple artists? How do you set your deck up for print? How do you choose a printer? How do you choose paper stock? What resolution should your artwork be? How do you market your deck? How do you set yourself up for a successful Kickstarter project AND a successful life for your creative work beyond that project? We tackle all these questions and more. Most of the answers apply to any creative project, whether it's a book, a board game, a zine, an oracle or tarot deck, a magazine, or... whatever your creative brain has imagined!
