August, 2004. American tourist Merrian Carver, 40, disappears from a cruise ship bound for Canada. The cruise liner does not report her disappearance within days of setting sail from Seattle, and her family are blocked from getting answers at every turn. Did Merrian take the cruise to take her own life? Did she accidentally fall overboard? Or is something more sinister at play?
