Richard Speck is one of America's most infamous murderers, committing what was immediately dubbed the "Crime of the Century" in Chicago, Illinois in July of 1966. His brutal slaying of 8 young student nurses was callous and horrifying, and a huge escalation in behavior, even considering his extensive criminal history leading up to that night.
