When I am coaching clients one of the principle skills I use is the art of artful questioning. And one of the things I most interested in is getting to the heart of an issue.

I keep asking questions until I get to the 'actual' specific thing that is the issue, problem, challenge or obstacle.

Once we get SPECIFIC, then we can do something 'specifically' about addressing it, in order to resolve, circumvent, acknowledge, accept, process or consciously avoid it.

The secret is to go from the general to the specific. t really is a game changer and one of the best tools in my coaching bag of tricks.
