In the early hours of June 13, 1977, a horrific event occurred at Camp Scott in Mayes County, Oklahoma. This camp was intended to be a two-week adventure filled with fun for over 100 Girl Scouts who had arrived at Camp Scott, near Locust Grove, Oklahoma, on June 12, 1977. However, under the cover of night, an intruder broke into a tent, committing the brutal murder and sexual assault of three young girls — Lori Farmer, 8, Michele Guse, 9, and Denise Milner, 10.
