Well hello and welcome back. I’m your host, Kelly Bennett and this is the second episode in my two part miniseries called Forgiveness, the Journey Back to Wholeness.
In this miniseries on the power of forgiveness, you’ll discover that mastering the art of forgiveness will have a big impact on both your productivity and your business relationships because leveraging forgiveness, it gets a whole lot of unproductive stuff out of your way and it improves your personal and your work relationships.
Now, if you haven’t listened to Episode 12, which is the first part of this series, I highly encourage you to go back and enjoy it. Because in part one, we shared three very compelling reasons to embrace the notion of forgiveness. It really makes the case for why forgiveness is such a good idea. I know you won’t want to miss it and it will make this episode even that more meaningful to you.
Today, I’m getting super practical, we’re talking about exactly how we go about this business of forgiving. Today, we’re going to take a look at who it is that we forgive and then I’m going to outline what it is we actually do when we forgive. And then finally, we’ll look at what we don’t do when we forgive.
Tweetables:
“The business of forgiving, it’s not applicable to everyone, that’s for sure. Because forgiveness is a well thought out deliberate act. It’s really a choice.” — Kelly Bennett [0:05:42.8]
“I would argue, it’s not fair to you to continue to live in pain at that person’s hand.” — Kelly Bennett [0:08:30.2]
“I don’t want you to confuse forgiving with welcoming someone back to the relationship or back to the fold. What we mean by forgiveness is something that is truly an inside job.” — Kelly Bennett [0:10:54.9]
