The Lady Bod Pod

Episode 132: Resting Witch face

Listen Later

Between long work days and packed calendars, it can be surprisingly easy to forget about taking care of yourself. Sometimes, when we're feeling stressed and running around taking care of everybody else, the healthiest thing we can do is to stop and consider how we can take care of ourselves. Most women do not realize that there is such a thing as Pelvic Floor Physical therapy or why it is important to have a Healthy Pelvic Floor. Your pelvic floor muscles are responsible for everything from supporting your organs, to helping you pee and poop, to allowing for pleasurable penetrative sex, so it makes sense that you might be thrown for a loop after you pushed out a baby. Issues like muscle spasms down there are more common than you'd think, and it's important to pay attention to your pelvic floor — especially after pregnancy. It might seem frivolous, but neglecting to slowww dowwwn and simply make time to get it checked can lead to serious resting witch face (WINK). Tried it all, and are still struggling with persistent pain? You're not alone. Dr. Oakley & Holly will go over these intimate issues in this episode and how you can make your first appointment. If you have a subject you would like to discuss, please email your ideas to TheLadybodpod.com. Dr. Oakley wants to hear from you.
