In 2019, I interviewed Hugh Turley about the book he wrote with his co-author, David Martin, "The Martyrdom of Thomas Merton: An Investigation." In 2023, Turkey and Martin published a follow-up: "Thomas Merton's Betrayers: The Case Against Abbot James Fox and author John Howard Griffin." Mr. Turley is back to tell us about the latest book and to give us some updates on the latest news about the investigation, new artistic ventures thalami to bring the story of Merton's death to light, and a possible cause for canonization.
