Richard Chase, chillingly nicknamed the “Vampire of Sacramento,” was a deeply disturbed American serial killer in the late 1970s who brutally murdered six people in California, mutilated their bodies, and drank their blood in the delusional belief that it was the only way to keep himself from dying.
