In June 2011, 20-year-old Indiana University student Lauren Spierer vanished after a night out in Bloomington, leaving behind surveillance footage, conflicting accounts, missing belongings and a final stretch of time that has never been fully explained. Several people saw Lauren severely intoxicated and struggling to walk, yet the men who were with her later gave accounts that did not always match, including differing versions of how she spent her final known 90 minutes and whether she actually left the townhome where she was last reported alive. Over the years, investigators have examined theories ranging from an accidental death and concealed body to abduction, serial killer Daniel Messel and even Israel Keyes, but no direct evidence has established what happened.
