When it comes to women's health, there is no such thing as a silly question. If you have a health question you want answered, but have been too embarrassed or shy to bring up with your doctor? You can 'Ask Dr. Susan Oakley' MD, Medical Services: Women's Health, Urogynecology, Specialties: Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery. If you have a health concern or any questions, please email us at [email protected]. In this episode, Dr. Oakley & Holly will go over some of your questions below: • I am 44 years old and about 6 months ago, I had an issue with an itchy bottom. It is not all the time, but it seems to be worse when it is time for my monthly menses. I didn't ask the doctor when I had my recent pap smear, but he said everything looked normal. However, I am really embarrassed by it. What could be causing my vagina to itch so much? • Do hormone balancing supplements work? If so is there one you recommend? I'm wondering about it for weight, hot flashes, night sweats etc... I've been told I'm not in any stages of menopause but I'm having trouble with all of these things at 40. Any advice or help would be appreciated. • What can you use/do to feel fresh after having intercourse, since douching is not recommended? Thank you for listening. Please send in your comments, questions and suggestions for future topics [email protected].
