I am taking a pause this week on DBT and having a conversation with a few of my kids about spirituality and mental health. We discuss different perspectives and have different ideas about how mental health practices can impact a person's spirituality. However, we all believe that practicing therapy, going to therapy, and doing work on the self are spiritual practices with the potential to bring a person to healing and to God.
