George T. Drost, a distinguished attorney and curator of art, has a life story that mirrors the resilience and triumph of the human spirit. Born in former Czechoslovakia during one of the darkest periods in history, George's early years were marred by the harsh realities of World War II. His parents were compelled to divorce, and his father faced the brutal fate of being forced into a work camp under the Gestapo.

In a heartbreaking decision to protect their family, George's parents chose to leave him in the Czech and sought refuge for his brother in Austria to escape the clutches of the Gestapo. It was not until George turned four that the family was joyfully reunited in Austria. The journey to the United States followed a time when anti-European sentiments were prevalent. In the face of adversity, George was instilled with the importance of assimilation, a lesson that would shape his future. Assimilate at all costs.

Despite the distance from his homeland, George never forgot his roots. His connection to Czech heritage became even more evident when he assumed the role of honorary consulate to The Czech Republic. This position allowed him to bridge the gap between his adopted home and the land of his birth.

Realizing the significance of the narrative, George enlisted the help of Nicki Pascarella to bring his father's story to life in a modern context. The collaboration resulted in "THE QUIET HERO," a best-selling book that not only chronicles the personal struggles of George's family but serves as a testament to the resilience of the human spirit in the face of adversity. Through his legal career, diplomatic role, and curatorship, George T. Drost has become a living example of turning personal history into a source of inspiration for generations to come.
