Okay, depending on how close to the ground and/or speakers you keep your ears, you may not have heard of Lurk yet - but you will. A five-piece from Chicago, their debut album Around The Sun was released back in 2021, while on Friday gone, a new EP, Natural Causes, was let loose into the world. Both are excellent, featuring some of the best, feral fanged indie punk rock that I’ve heard in a while. Think Sonics, Strokes, and maybe even some bands whose name doesn't begin with 's'.
