March, 1998. Rui Pedro Teixeira Mendonça, 11, vanishes from outside his home in northern Portugal. A decades-long investigation ensued which shone a spotlight on the darkest elements of humanity. Even after subsequent trials related to the boy and his last known movements were held, 25 years on, the fate of Rui Pedro remains unknown.
