The Devil’ s Tramping Ground, also called the Devil’ s Stomping Ground, is a camping site hidden in the woods near Harper’ s Crossroads in Bear Creek, North Carolina. For generations it’s been wrapped in local lore: a perfect circle roughly 40 feet across where nothing will grow and anything left inside overnight vanishes. Legend says the Devil himself “tramps” this barren ring, pacing in endless circles as he plots new ways to unleash evil.
