Questions To Ask Ourselves

Do you believe our hearts are prone to wander? 

Jeremiah 17:9 "The heart is more deceitful than all else And is desperately sick; Who can understand it?
Proverbs 16:25 “There is a way that appears to be right but in the end it lead to death?”
Do we believe we will never know the depth of our sinfulness? 
Proverbs 19:12-13 Who can discern his errors?
    Declare me innocent from hidden faults.
13 Keep back your servant also from presumptuous sins;
    let them not have dominion over me!
Then I shall be blameless,
    and innocent of great transgression.

Do you believe that God’s Word is the standard of Truth? J

John 17:17 Sanctify them by your truth, your word is truth
Psalm 119:160 The sum of your word is truth, and every one of your righteous rules endures forever.
Proverbs 19:7-8
The law of the Lord is perfect,[c]
    reviving the soul;
the testimony of the Lord is sure,
    making wise the simple;
8 the precepts of the Lord are right,
    rejoicing the heart;
the commandment of the Lord is pure,
    enlightening the eyes;

Do you believe Sola Scriptura?

Sola Scriptura means that God’s declaration in Scripture is that it and it alone, is this final authority in all matters of faith and morals.
