Mark McAfee is a pioneering figure in the raw milk industry, having co-founded Organic Pastures Dairy in 1999, which has grown to become the world's largest organic raw milk dairy. He established the Raw Milk Institute (RAWMI) in 2011 to support farmers in producing safe, low-risk raw milk for consumers. With a passion for "grass to glass" risk reduction management, Mark emphasizes that raw milk must be extremely low risk to gain consumer trust.

Certified in HACCP management from Chapman University, he has developed award-winning food safety plans, including Raw Milk Risk Analysis & Management Plans (RAMP). Mark's expertise is backed by a unique background as a premed-trained retired EMS paramedic and medical educator. In 1997, he was recognized with the Best of the West grower award for implementing an innovative on-farm risk management system with Odwalla juice company. He has lectured on the safety and health benefits of raw milk at numerous prestigious institutions across the United States, Canada, and Australia. Today, Mark's Raw Farm brand serves over 50,000 families in California alone, with products available in over 900 store locations nationwide.
