This week, Fiona and Hamilton check out the new subsystem ruleset for introducing Bastions into your RPG campaigns, as presented in the latest Unearthed Arcana 2023: Bastions and Cantrips.

A Bastion can be a home, a base of operations, a place of worship, or something else for Player Characters. It offers respite in between adventures, offers benefits such as an income stream or magic item crafting, and grows with your characters as they level up.
