🇮🇪 June, 2009. A solitary figure steps off a bus in the peaceful Irish town of Sligo. He checks into a hotel. Over the next few days, he is sighted on CCTV across town. Then, he is found dead on a quiet local beach. When the Gardai attempt to identify the man, they realise that the man who signed into his accommodation as Peter Bergmann does not exist. He went to great lengths to ensure he was never identified. And to this day, he hasn’t been. This is the story of Peter Bergmann, Ireland’s John Doe.
