This week we'll focus our attention on young folks playing old-time and traditional music. Just a few years ago, players of traditional music were mostly older, but today many of the best have come out of academic and workshop experiences and are playing some of the most vibrant and exciting renditions of classic songs and tunes. Many of these musicians are likely to invent new songs and tunes, or set traditional ones in new ways. We'll hear The Big Possum Stringband, Victor Furtado, Molly Tuttle, Anna & Elizabeth and lots of others. Everything old gets new again … this week on The Sing Out! Radio Magazine.
