It’s a big week for Celtic as they get set to try and retain their title in Sunday’s League Cup final against Rangers at Hampden Park.

To get in the mood for the big tie, the Celtic View Podcast has two special podcasts this week, reflecting on our previous two League Cup final victories over Rangers.

On Friday, Ryan Christie of Bournemouth and Kris Ajer of Brentford reflect on the 2019 victory.

In this episode, B team coaches Darren O’Dea and Stephen McManus look back on the 2009 final, where goals from O’Dea and Aiden McGeady allowed McManus to lift the trophy up the steps at Hampden Park.

The pair look back on all the moments in the lead-up to the match, bringing you the details of what it was like to prepare for a final under Gordon Strachan with some exclusive stories from the changing room.

They then recount the match, and O’Dea remembers his big moment when he scored the crucial opening goal in extra-time that helped deliver the cup.

The coaches then preview the upcoming final and give their take on Ange Postecoglou’s team and their chances.
