This recording was gathered in a stand of Quaking Aspen(populus tremuloides) in the Bigelow Meadow Botanical Area at the edge of Bigelow Meadow in the Shasta-Trinity National Forest, Siskiyou County, California. It was a sunny day with a gusty breeze at the cusp of summer and fall, with the leaves on the trees and brush just beginning to turn to their fall colors.
