Howard Fishman is an American author, culture writer, singer, guitarist, bandleader, playwright, and composer from Brooklyn, New York.

Since 2016 he has been a contributing writer for The New Yorker.

His first book, To Anyone Who Ever Asks: The Life, Music, and Mystery of Connie Converse, was published in May 2023.
