On this weeks episode of the Forging Excalibur Podcast, Michael speaks with Jim Skivalidas. Jim is a Chiropractor of 20+ years. He entered the men's mental health space when his clinic burnt down Nov 24 2014, and discovered how many males in Australia suffer from depression and anxiety. He also became aware of our horrific male suicide statistics. At 8 Men per day, Jim wanted to make a dent and contribute to helping eliminate these numbers. As part of his healing journey, and recreating his new clinic, he found singing as an outlet and after performing with Paul Stanley of KISS and JUDAS Priest, he created the rock themed “I’m Just A Man” Gala, that is held on or around the anniversary of Michael Hutchence passing. This annual event brings together men and women to celebrate and honour the thousands of males who suffer with mental health, while fundraising with music and speakers for Movember, Beyond Blue, RUOK and many other charities.
