This week’s episode with former Boomer/Sooner mascot Mattie Cassaday is not one you will want to miss! Mattie has been an OU fan her whole life! A third generation Sooner, Mattie graduated from OU in 2019 cum laude with her degree in Public Health and Nonprofit Administration and a minor in Biology. During her time at OU, Mattie was very active in the student community, participating extensively in OU Dance Marathon, Greek life, and athletics. For 2 of her years at OU, Mattie was “friends with” Boomer and Sooner and had lots of fun “horsing” around at football games, basketball games, and pretty much any other sporting event or activity you can think of. Now, she has her MPH in Global Health and Epidemiology and works as an environmental health and safety specialist in Denver, CO. She lives with her fiance, Kyle, her cat, Venus, and her dog, Moose. In her free time, she throws pottery, does photography, and loves to watch OU football!

Both her mom and grandma went to OU, so she grew up watching and cheering for OU and fell in love with it by the time I was looking at colleges.

She was SO excited to share her my most notable Boomer/Sooner injury (a concussion from Baker Mayfield)-a story you won’t want to miss!
