It took podcast host, Laura Diehl, almost four years after her daughter died to go to a conference for bereaved moms because she didn't think it would help her at all to be around a bunch of others who were a mess like she was. But when she finally went, Laura discovered it was just the opposite; it was wonderful and healing to be with others who understood, and she got to talk about Becca with others who wanted to hear about her daughter.
This episode is a discussion that took place in Texas with five cabin mates at a recent weekend retreat. Only two of them already knew each other. These moms ranged from losing their child twelve years ago to as recent as two months! Some have been to conferences and retreats before, and for some it was their first time.
You will enjoy their almost instant camaraderie as they share some nuggets they are taking home with them after spending the weekend together. And you might be really surprised at what Melissa has to say, who just lost her son, Cody, two months ago.
Jessika Matejcik was born November 25 and is forever 21.
Austin Delgado was born on November 26 and is forever 21.
Andreas Claren was born on December 1 and is forever 30.

Grieving Parents Sharing Hope (GPS Hope) is here to walk with parents through the darkness of child-loss, guiding them to a place of hope, light and purpose.
It is a safe place for anyone who has lost a child from this earth. There is no shame or judgement in where you are in this journey, including if you are struggling in your relationship with God or your faith has been completely shattered.
I want to partner with GPS Hope financially to help give support to grieving parents.
