In the early 1970’s, Tony Zanetta performed in underground theater in plays by Andy Warhol, Jackie Curtis and Wayne/Jayne County. His portrayal of Warhol in the play Pork would have him meet David Bowie in London. When Bowie visited New York in 1971, Tony guided Bowie and then manager Tony Defries through New York's nightlife. Tony soon started handling some basic tasks for Defries, which very quickly led to Tony becoming a trusted part of Bowie’s inner circle. Tony then helped Defries start, and manage the company MainMan which was the company that helped produce and realize Bowie's Ziggy Stardust tours. Tony tour managed the Ziggy Stardust and Diamond Dogs tours. In this episode Tony recalls the exciting times working with Bowie.
