Needless to say, A LOT has happened in the past two weeks. As we approach our 1 year anniversary of Let’s Just Go For One, we reflect on how much we’ve changed over the past year. Also, as we approach post-quarantine life, we reflect on how we’ve changed just over the past 11 weeks. Of all of episodes we have done, it’s been awhile since we had one this important. We laugh, we cry, we get REAL real on our own personal experiences during our quarantines (the good, the bad, and the ugly). Full transparency, we had to stop recording several times because we just needed a minute to compose ourselves. Of course no episode would be complete without our light hearted Wait, What segment and a quick RHONY recap (we are SO Team Leah)! While we always tend to keep our podcast humorous and light, we could absolutely not be silent about the state of our country right now. Understanding the extent of racism in America and the significance of Black Lives Matter is so critical for all of us, not just now, but always. It is so important for ALL of us to educate ourselves on white privilege and white supremacy (please see our IG post from 5/31 for more resources). Be kind to yourselves as we start to emerge from quarantine, and, more than ever right now, be kind to each other.
