Actress Debi Mazar and Lydia have been friends for a very long time. Debi was born in Jamaica Queens.  Before becoming an actress, Debi had a series of interesting jobs including dental assistant, waitress at Max's Kansas City, security at the Mudd Club, and as a makeup artist. Debi did make the makeup for her best friend Madonna's music video Everybody.

Debi's first film role was as Sandy in the iconic gangster film Goodfellas. Since Goodfellas, she has acted in countless other roles, working with directors such as Spike Lee and Michael Mann.

In 2011, Debi and her husband chef Gabriele Corcos debuted their own cooking show Extra Virgin Americana on the Cooking Channel. The show won a prestigious 2016 James Beard Award. Currently, Debi is one of the stars of the comedy-drama Younger with Sutton Foster and Hilary Duff as Maggie. Debi played Ava Gardner in the Spanish television series Arde Madrid, telling the story of the period which Gardner spent in Madrid during Francoist Spain. Arde Madrid will be released in the United States later this year.

Lately, Debi has been in the news as she went public with the fact that she has been fighting the Corona Virus. She is doing well, and everyone here at the Lydian Spin wishes her a very quick recovery.
