Outside The Chute sat down and chatted with Cal U of Pennsylvania alum and current Canadian National Team member, Natalie Wideman.
Nat had a stand out career at Cal U where she was a 3 time All-PSAC first team all-star, 2014 PSAC Athlete of the Year as well as the 2014 NCAA Division II Catcher of the Year. She would go on to play for the Canadian National Team where she has won 2 bronze medals at the 2016 and 2018 WBSC World Championships and the well known Pan Am Games Gold on home soil in Toronto back in 2015.
We’re gonna talk to Nat about getting her start in the game and the influence her two brothers had on her growing up, her time at Cal U, her time with Team Canada, being a Mizuno Ambassador and much more.
Nat was an absolute pleasure to chat with and we shared a lot of laughs during our chat.
