For a while there in the 90s Blur were one of the biggest bands in the world. Global dominance didn't last long, but for some people, especially in the UK, they're still legends. After years of making music for Film and TV, drummer Dave Rowntree has just released his first solo album, Radio Songs, which sounds like you might imagine someone adept at scoring might sound. In this conversation, Dave discusses the transition from band drummer to musician for hire, why the time was now for a solo album, his days with Blur, Oasis, and the stories behind some of the songs.
