Just before Christmas in 1997, a family had their world turned upside down when a fire broke out in their home. All family members were taken out of the home except 10 day old Delimar Vera. Delimar was asleep in the upstairs bedroom and when her mother, Luzaida, reached Delimar's room she was no where to be found. Wrought with panic, Luzaida was evntually forced outside by the blazing fire to which fire officials explained to her that her baby had, in fact, perished in the fire. Luzaida refused to believe what investigators told them happened and with the strength and determination of a mother after more than 6 long years, Luzaida would get answers but would they be what everyone thought?
