Kim Wall grew up in Sweden but traveled all over the world while becoming a freelance journalist. After finding out about inventor Peter Madsen and his submarine The Nautilus, she decided to reach out and try to get an interview. On August 10th, 2017 Peter and Kim were set out on The Nautilus for about two hours for Kim to get her story. After two hours went by and there was still no sign of Kim, Peter or the submarine Kim’s boyfriend alerted the coast guard. A huge search was set out to find The Nautilus, but nothing was found until 11am the next day. Although Peter was the only one that came out of the submarine.
