Europe is in the grip of 821 serious organised crime groups with 25,000 members who between them carve up the most dangerous drug dealing, people trafficking and fraud operations on the continent.

A new Europol report delves into the make up of the groups and the threat they pose to society through corruption, violence and money laundering.
