Dr. Jenkins is an assistant professor of sociology at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. Her interest is in medical sociology, and she recently published a book describing her post-doctoral work entitled, "Doctors' Orders: The Making of Status Hierarchies in an Elite Profession." She evaluates the differences between US MD and "Non-US MD" physicians regarding opportunities in medicine and medical specialties. In our interview, she will discuss the book and specific observations she made during her research in regard to the "osteopathic journey."
